Early detection and treatment of diseases helps to protect people’s lives and it also reduces the physical impact and financial burden of treatment.
A physical examination identifies factors that may cause diseases in the future and nip those diseases in the bud by providing advice and instructions for improve a person’s lifestyle and by providing dietary and physical therapy. This is prevention (before a disease develops).
Given the superannuated population today, the Center also takes steps to prevent frailty, sarcopenia, and dementia to extend healthy longevity and it works to prevent diseases that are currently being treated from becoming more serious. Moreover, the Center aims to become a learning and practice-based preventive medical care facility (a “health education center”) where people undergoing a physical examination can correctly understand their health and take steps themselves.
The Center is also preparing to provide opportunities for residents and students of the Faculties of Nursing and Rehabilitation to learn preventive medical care.
