Continuing to Reform the Entrance Examination System and Enhancing Public Relations

The Admissions Center was established in April 2021 to be comprehensively responsible for all operations, from formulation of plans and projects related to the KMU entrance examination to their implementation, management, and administration.
For the convenience of applicants, the Faculty of Medicine provides 4 examination venues in Japan for applicants and it accepts online applications.
Seven types of entrance examinations are conducted to evaluate applicants from multiple aspects. For the entrance examinations in AY 2023, to further open the door for students with more diversity and to foster excellent doctors with a rich sense of humanity, the tuition has been decreased significantly.
The Faculty of Nursing selected applicants in AY 2023 based on the school recommendations, the Common Test for University Admissions, and the general selection process. We reduced school fees and expanded the scholarship system and entrance exam fee discount system to support prospective students who wish to be a nurse, public health nurse, or midwife in the future.
Established in 2021, the Faculty of Rehabilitation selected applicants in AY 2023 based on the comprehensive evaluation process, school recommendations, the Common Test for University Admissions, and the general selection process. Comprehensive selection was extended to 2 days. The scholarship system was expanded, and the entrance exam fee discount system was newly established.
As a result, in AY 2023, the highest number of applicants was marked in the 3 departments.
Admissions Public Relations is enhancing PR to attract as many excellent applicants as possible. In cooperation with the Division of Public Relations established in 2016, the Center proactively engages in activities such as creating the university brochure from the standpoint of applicants, conducting an open campus, advertising in entrance examination magazines and on websites, and participating in entrance examination orientation and consultation.
