The Faculty of Nursing fosters nursing professionals who care for “people's daily lives" and "people" ” through interaction with local residents. Medical care settings are becoming more varied and complex, so nursing professionals are required to understand the daily lives of patients that lie behind their illnesses and to respond to the need for care depending on the health of the individual patient. Nursing professionals also perform activities to promote better health among the general public. The 1st year curriculum offers liberal arts subjects and subjects to understand actual conditions in the region. The curriculum from the 2nd year onwards offers lectures as well as practical training at various sites such as the outpatient department, hospitals, and visiting nurses’ stations to increase learning, with the “daily lives” of patients in mind. In the 4th year, students will take part in integrated practical training to integrate the knowledge and skills they acquired. Through 4-year field work in the region, students will also learn the role of nursing based on the daily lives of people. The Faculty of Nursing Building has an Integrated Nursing Training Room where actual clinical such as outpatient treatment and emergency situations can be recreated.
